What is the source/method of creation for your sign-in name?

TRAMD is my initials followed by MD. Pretty lame; I hope many of you have a cooler reason for your name.

When i signed on i was trying to think of something creative/special...

then i figured i was attending UCSD (undergrad) and i want to be a doctor...so why not be jr doctor in sd?

not the sexiest story but it works

haha, I was just thinking about what my answer to this question would be. Mine was a nickname my high school friends "bestowed" on me, and I guess it has stuck around ever since. "Nam" comes from the fact that I'm Vietnamese. I have no idea where the "soon" came from. Thinking about it now, it probably wasn't so good of a choice for an SDN name, seeing how the "soon" has a resemblance to sooner and I'm a Longhorn...🙄

I am from South Dakota and thought that was what your name meant at first, but then I figured you probably meant San Diego--sounds like a nice place, my parents just went there for their 36th anniversary.

People tell me that the animal I most resemble is a koala.

33 was the number I always had when I played competitive sports.

Koko's my cat and she likes to eat...

My user name used to be almost identical to my actual name, but with some of the trouble I was causing on SDN, I thought I'd change it when SDN was offering that option a few months back.

hmm... my name is the modification of what started as my first screen name to an online forum back in the late 90's. It has evolved since then, but the root is the same.

mine's half of one of my names. so original, i know.

Cataract was the word I was on during my SAT studying back in high school. Just thought it was a cool way of saying "waterfall" when I was 17. The name stuck and I use it for everything. It's doesn't refer to the eye condition...

haha mine is whateva bc i was too lazy to be creative and 07 is this yr...lol

I was drinking Tropicana orange juice when I signed up. 🙂

It's been my AIM screenname since like 8th grade. It's origins however, are strictly 'need to know basis' ... and you don't need to know.:laugh:

I always wanted to be in the coast guard.

Actually I was set on joining the Army and/or going to USUHS. things changed once I visited the military forum.

I'd actually like to change my name.. moderators, can I do that?

Pak= I am from Pakistan
Baby Doll= thats what every one used to call me there 🙂

There was a time, army... and you MISSED it.

I don't think they're offering it any more.

I've been using this name on forums and in videogames for years now, and it's relatively original and cool ("how can a shadow be golden?!" people ask). So I've stuck with it.

You've just blown my mind.

Oddly enough you have 365 posts . . . exactly 1 year . . .

I am a fly fisherman from Oregon. The searun cutthroat trout is my favorite game fish along with the steelhead trout, also a Northwest native. The searun cutthroat is reared in the coastal streams of Oregon and then in the spring, goes out into the Pacific Ocean and eats shrimp for three months, has a huge growth spurt, and then returns to its coastal stream in September. The searun is a beautiful fighting trout. Its flesh is pink and its skin is silver with speckles. It has deep red slash near the outside of its gills, hence the name, cutthroat.

If I tell you about mine my whole secret identity will be destroyed. 😱
However, those spanish-inclined people may have an idea where it comes from.

my name with the month/year of birth. meh.

Mine is cuz I told my wife I would apply to ONE school, ONE time. So it was get in for 2008 or bust.

My name comes from necessity. I had to pick a new name after I was told my old handle, Billy Sexcrime, was inappropriate. Apparently, some of you got your panties in a bunch and reported that my screen name was offensive.

My panties are just fine Billy

::growl:: I appreciate the update on the status of your panties.

BTW, congrats on MSU. Thankfully, the "orbust," part of your username wasn't applicable.

It is gorgeous down here. I've only been here a year i grew up in Los Angeles! We have the nicest beaches here (coronado, del mar, etc.) and tons of places for the rich to spend money especially where the college is located. perfect weather doesnt hurt either. Neither do frequent ladies traveling to/fro the beach

TeaKae = my initials = TK

Plus, everyone called me TK in jr. high, high school, and college....although for awhile it was actually "T to the motha f***in' K"

When I get married next July my new initials will be TB, like the disease 🙂

Um... I'm doin' my best to get into med school. 5840 reversed is 0485, my birth month and year.

Yeah, I'm lame.

I have a lot of Yemeni friends who love eating hot Cheetos. This is a source of comedy for me and so ymncheetos was born.

You pee on it ... :meanie:

Sorry, I am 8. 👍

He should have went with GoldenShower. Now THAT'S a strong username.

Ashers is what my friends in England call me. I couldn't think of anything better, and when the times have come to change it, I still can't think of anything good.

ocwaveoc
oc=orange county, CA
wave=waves in the ocean.....I surf
oc=for the sake of symmetry in the name....😀

My older brother gave me the nickname Waywoe when I was a little kid. I have no idea why and he won't tell me.

In a nutshell -- Bishr was my Egyptian grandfather I never got to meet but have heard so much about. He was the primary milk distributer for all of Alexandria - a city of roughly 4 million ppl. Was killed long before I was born (1969) over a petty dispute between two parties (fighting over a cow) which he was trying to mediate. Its was kinda weird that when I went to visit Alex this summer, even random taxi drivers knew who he was and remembered his story...

It's simple. I just use my real name and my favorite number..🙂

my family has a plane. it's a Taylorcraft BC12D, built in 1946. my dad restored it about 20 years ago. it's very awesome and i love flying it, so it finds its way into all my usernames. 👍

Mine comes from the short story 'I Rowboat' (not the one from the Onion, the other one). If you get the reference you're a huge nerd. Also Parrotfish is misspelled because I can't spell.

The misspelling gives it character in this case.

That is pretty awesome.

I am a direct descendent of William Seward. He got us a sweet deal on a little piece of land called Alaska.

I was looking at the "username" form and happened to cough, so I googled the medical definition of a cough.
