That is pretty awesome.

I am a direct descendent of William Seward. He got us a sweet deal on a little piece of land called Alaska.

Lucky... at least you're related to a figure in American history that did something positive. Supposedly, the paternal side of my family is distantly related to John Wilkes-Booth.

The details of my name are quite inconsequential.

I'm supposedly related to Jefferson Davis, as some distant uncle, on my mom's side. On her side I also found a really, really detailed genealogy including Charlamagne, kings of England before 1066. It's so detailed, I don't really believe it.

Yeah, I wouldn't buy the Charlemagne thing. My aunt-through-marriage's family claims the same thing, that they can directly trace their lines back to Charlemagne. It's probably some common thing lot's of people starting claiming many years back that just stuck, even though it's totally ridiculous.

I'd believe the Jefferson Davis one, though.

i <3 xena warrior princess - but the xena with an x seemed to be taken at the time. (believe it or not...)

Isn't it obvious? I'm from New Hampshire...

Ok, this is weird. I wanted to watch Zoolander after our quoting of it on the other thread and the part about John Wilkes-Booth being an actor/model was on just before I read this post, HAHA.

Holy s*** dude... we're on a disturbingly cosmic wavelength type thing.

Want to go into private practice together sometime in the future?👍👎

Are you doing PM&R or occupational medicine?

Are you doing PM&R or occupational medicine?

The thought has crossed my mind once or twice...

Although, couldn't you set up a small multi-specialty office? For example, having a PM&R + Ortho group, PM&R + Neuro group, etc? Seems like PM&R provides a nice interface between various specialties.

Ummm, I just really like Pickles** Ali is a mispelling of my nickname

** the dill kind, just in case your mind was in the gutter...😉

No... no. I'm going to stick with the gutter interpretation because it makes the connotation of your name funnier. 😉

Ooohhhh. I always read your username as "pickle-sali", which I thought was kind of like a "pickle salad", but cuter.

My first name's Brian, but I'll never tell you what my last name is.

One time I stayed at a hotel with my family, and a stray mouse got a hold of my toy motorcycle. I saw the glimmer in that mouse's eyes as I encouraged him to get on that hog and ride. And ride he did. I will never forget Ralph. That damn mouse taught me more about life in one afternoon than I'll ever know.

Sounds more like you dropped acid and popped "Stuart Little," into the DVD player.

I've been told I'm very meticulous to the point that some of my better friends were allowed to call me "Meticulous Man" when I was stacking my change or lining up the edges of a piece of paper perfectly before I folded it to throw it away. I just thought meticulous was a bit pretentious for a pre-med, so I went with LCW.

i use this for everything. i got sick of always changing my screen names so i figured that Lauren (my first name) would always be my first name and so I'd never have to change screen names/emails/ect 🙂

My baby blue shoes are the inspiration of course ... then when I get tired of them I'll only identify with my sn because I like baby blue, sky blue, carolina blue or what have you ..

My screen name is made up of my initials and the zip code of a place where I used to live and now miss.

Pausey is the pet name my family has called me since I was little.

Very true. The ortho group already in the town I will live in is VERY dominant. You could join them and we could refer to each other. Of course, you would have to move to South Dakota because that is where I WILL practice; no flexibility there.

Lee, but it is cool how you made it sound like some kind of kingdom like "Robin of Locksley".

You used to live in Sugar Land!?!? What street?

South Dakota, eh? I bet you could make a killing out there (only doc for miles), not to mention a plethora of hot Norwegian or Sioux chicks.

There are enough docs actually but they are paid very well here and cost of living isn't too bad. Lots of tall, hot Norwegians (see avatar). The Sioux are occasionally attractive but not usually. Cherokees are better and aren't in SD for the most part. It is actually surprising how rarely whites and native americans date each other here. Other than that there just aren't many other races around. There actually aren't even that many native americans outside the reservations. If you want variety, you won't find it in South Dakota. My HS had 800 people in it: about 20 native americans (about 5 were FAS), about 5 asians, 1 guy who was 1/2 black and the rest white. I met my first black woman when I was 24; not saw, but met.

Not sure why I went into such great detail about the racial mix of South Dakota but I did.

Wow, way opposite of my HS (in Hawaii). It was like mostly Japanese and Filipino, a bunch of Hawaiians and other polynesians, other Asians, the mixes, and then the haoles (white people). On the ACT, I was able to say my ethnicity was the lowest percentage they had on the list (like 3 or 5%) at my school.

Needless to say, when I went to college and med school, I had culture shock from so many white people.

Vague idea of what I look like and how well I fit in with the Asians, my avatar is my eyes, and I was taller than most people. So I fit in pretty well. 😉

High school nickname since I was a freshman. Contrary to all SDN suggestions, it gives away my identity. Can anyone figure out my last name from my sn?

Vitaglia?

I'm related to Pocahontas (due to the fact that she married and had kids with an American guy that we're related to)

I am old and I was a grunt.

I generally don't have a thousand yard stare like the guy in my picture, unless I hang out here too long.

Phoenix as in the myth, not the city. Reference to soaring up from the ashes of my previous career. Ok, so there were no ashes, but it felt like an early burial if you know what I mean. Until recently I had a nice Phoenix avatar to avoid confusion with AZ. Maybe I'll put that back up later.

Sam Houston Drive, best street on Earth.😀

I've never been there just looked up the zip code to play a prank but didn't really succeed.

As a Dungeons and Dragons and comic book fan I knew exactly what you were talking about.
