Significance of EC's

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Personally, I think everyone looks nearly the same on paper. It's the PS and interviews that set you apart. Your passion about your experiences will shine through and adcoms can tell if you are sincere. But, I know nothing, this is just what I've been told numerous times. It makes sense though. Do what you love and enjoy. The rest of the pieces will fall into place.

That's the thing. Sometimes I feel like I won't have enough experiences compared to everyone else to be competitive and I know that sounds shallow but it's hit my grades at this moment and I don't know what to do.

It's not the quantity of experience. It's the quality. If we have the same stats but I have 17 ECs I've crammed in over the course of a couple years and you only have one or two it comes down to passion. With my 17 ECs ill probably mix up what I've done, confuse experiences and adcoms know it's just to mark the boxes. If you have one or two that you love and can have a conversation about then you're golden. Always quality over quantity!
