when applying to med school, assuming your overall GPA is good, is it considerably worse to have some low course grades (C's) than to have all A's and B's?
thoughts?

dude, obviously all A's and B's looks better than all A's and B's except for 3 C's. will it kill you? no. will they care? maybe.
 
It probably depends on the class...a C in Art History is obviously not as detrimental as a C in Orgo.
 
It's all about them upward trends. Don't sweat it. If you screwed up in your lower division classes then kick ass on the upper division ones. Just make sure you're kicking ass on the right ones. If you got C's all in your science courses and try to make it up by advanced art classes, that won't look too impressive.
