Silent Waitlist?

If you interviewed for a school pre-December and got no response/no rejection on dec 3 is it implied that you're waitlisted or just rejected?

I already have an acceptance with a school so I'm not freaking about it, but it's just weird how I never heard any correspondence from them...good or bad.

I think it depends on the school...however, I'd like to think that if a school wants to reject you after an interview, they would, and wouldn't even drag you on. Perhaps I'm wrong.

I know some schools like UCSF will be releasing their waitlist in a few weeks (mid-Feb supposedly), but otherwise, I've heard zero from them since I interviewed there, which was ~3 months ago.

in my situation no news turned out to be good news..i interviewed at Temple in oct and only just got notification from them jan 21 that i was accepted. They nvr said i was on the waitlist but im almost positive i was and got a seat that someone else gave up...once all seats are filled then you are rejected.
