Okay so it asks for:
1) Indicate the reasons for your specific interest in Mount Sinai.
2)What are your reasons for choosing to apply to the Mount Sinai School of Medicine MD/PhD program?

Hmmm, I having a hard time seeing a big distinction here. My interest in Mt. Sinai is largely because of the Mt. Sinai MD/PhD program. Would "See next question" be inappropriate?? Haha...

I suppose for the former I can include things like location and specifics about med school curriculum, and for the latter I can talk about the specs that I like about the MD/PhD program and research groups that interest me??

Any thoughts?

I mean for the second one, they don't want me to rehash my motivations for pursuing an MD/PhD in general, right???

You know... I actually did exactly that!!!

If I remember correctly, one of those essays was optional, so I reasoned that the "Why Mt. Sinai?" question was probably more geared towards MD-only students, and I couldn't really come up with solid distinctions for "Why Mt. Sinai?" vs. "Why Mt. Sinai's MSTP?" without sounding cheesey. Of course, I haven't gotten an interview invite yet so I can't verify the soundness of this approach. :scared:

I think that sounds good. I think they want specifics about their program. think specific, not general. like why their MSTP is special to you.
