Ok, this is my first post on SDN, but here goes. I've been accepted at Sinai, and just got an interview at Finch. I'm leaning towards turning it down, anyone have any compelling reason to go to see Finch? I know that there's great facilities in Finch and the students seem great, but it'll be hard for me to think of a reason to turn down sinai for there.

Any thoughts?

I agree. This has got to be one of the most lopsided "X versus Y" threads I've seen in a while.

LOL

Yea, definitely what i was thinking. My parents want me to interview at finch though, i dont know why. 😡

um... sinai NO question...

i dont think finch has one thing that can possibly compare to sinai in anyway. now sinai needs to offer me an interview.

Nope, just this one. And all of yours.

 Are you for real? If you do not realize the greatness of MSSM, you should pass it up and let someone else who does get a shot.

I disagree that Finch school be ruled out. Granted MSSM is a school that I wish I had applied to but Finch is strong in their match lists. They jsut have lower numbers b/c a bunch of their marticulants come from the M.S./M.D. program which really brings their numbers down.

My mom went to Chicago Medical (What is now finch), and got really good clinical training because (at least they used to) rotate at the big chicago hospitals like Cook county. When she went to UC Davis as an intern she got herself in lots of trouble because she knew so much more than the residents there. So I don't think its a bad place, I think its more up to what your looking for, also they have a Jewish heritage, if that matters to you at all.
But it is in North Chicago, which is in the boonies, and sucks apparently.
And I turned my Finch interview down.
