Has anyone applied to Flexmed this year/have any general tips? I applied and honestly don't know what to expect lol (for those who don't know, it's an early assurance program for college sophomores). Thanks in advance

My son applied too. He submitted it yesterday. I am surprised this is the first post about the application this year. Where is everyone else?😅

Applications for Icahn School of Medicine at Mt Sinai through the Flexmed program were due Tuesday, January 16th. Thought I would create this thread on here so we can all update as we hear back! There is a GroupMe, but it is pretty inactive, and I think having this here would be helpful

Has anyone heard anything regarding applications this year. Do we think this years class will be bigger then pasts? Counting down the days till we hear back!

I submitted five, but I think they only consider three. I just wanted to include two more because I took the required organic chemistry and general molecular biology in high school through dual enrollment, and I got pretty close with my professors. I needed them to see that I actually did the class well, participated, and excelled.

2021 - February 25th, around 3:00 PM CST
2022 - March 2nd, around 10:25 AM CST
2023 - February 24th, around 9:30 CST

Acceptances
2021 - June 28th, around 1:40 PM CST
2022 - June 30th around 1:15 PM CST
2023 - June 27th around 2:30 PM CST

has anyone else's activities section been shuffled? they're now in a different order than when I initially entered them in

Mine did that too. I feel like it might not be random. The reason I say this is because it’s nowhere near the order I put it in, and it’s shuffled in a way that prioritizes clinical experience, while my last activity is now the environmental restoration program I co-founded (non-medicine related) while the first is the clinical work I do at a Medical student run free clinic. But hey, we all know that portal astrology gets to our heads—we had enough of that when we were applying to undergrad, lol. BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE NEXT WEEK!!!!!! YALL GOT THIS!!!!!!!

Is it not just chronological order, like they suggested, or did yours change

I tried this both on my phone and on my computer. The order of the activities has been changed if I view it on the computer, but not on the phone.
 
fwiw the GroupMe chats were problematic because they're unmoderated. Anyone can create an account or 4 while on here there is a system to help keep things friendly and helpful. Also, people who applied previously are more likely to see a thread on SDN. just my 2 cents.

it's back to normal now but mine weren't ordered in a way that prioritized clinical experience. prob not super relevant

When you click status on PC, a box on the sidebar appears that says "document upload" or something under the status bar. And if you click on that then it brings you to an upload screen where you can see your previous uploads (test scores and transcripts) as well as an upload box for spring transcripts and updates.

Oh I see! Thank you SO much. Did you have that before today?
 
I also have the document upload. I just got it today though, I don’t remember seeing it before.
 
If it says spring transcript upload that’s a good sign right? Maybe they will release decisions tomorrow morning after setting up the uploads today?
