I have made a reservation for 7pm at a restaurant called Coquette. They are located at 2800 Magazine St.

Here is a sample menu: http://www.coquettenola.com/menus

I would like to nail down the number of folks who are coming no later than Tuesday, so if y'all can give me a yes or no by then, I'd be most appreciative.

Also, New Orleans is one of the great restaurant cities. There is no reason to eat anything other than delicious food while u are here. However, there are also lots of tourist traps. If anyone wants recommendations, I'm happy to help.

Will be there with the missus, where to get good Cajun /Creole that is not a tourist trap

The first thing you have to understand is that Cajun and Creole are different: http://www.louisianatravel.com/articles/cajun-vs-creole-food-what-difference

That being said, The Bon-Ton Cafe, Upperline, or K-Paul's are all terrific for that sort of thing. Galatoire's, Brennan's, and Commander's are also lovely, but fancier and more expensive.

This is a pretty good list: http://nola.eater.com/maps/best-new-orleans-restaurants-38

So is this: http://www.nola.com/dining-guide/index.ssf/page/best_new_orleans_restaurants.html

Boston just sent me an invite for their dinner Thursday night (at John Besh's new commercial space).

Would it be OK if we changed the dinner to Friday?

Nevro dinner is Friday...could always just do Happy hour(s)

I'll be at Nevro fri, but up for anything fri/sat.

Any opposition to moving this to private forum?

Taus, I want residents who are attending the meeting to come if they can. My understanding is they can't access the private forum.

Bedrock: I could care less about the presentations. Besh is a terrific chef. I'm going for the meal.

Ok, date and time have changed. Now Wed at 8:30. Still at Coquette.

Is anyone still going? Or should I cancel the reservation?

Where is Nevro's dinner being held?

Just got an invite from St. Jude. They are having their dinner at Bourbon House. Good news is, it is close to the hotel. Bad news is, it is the typical place St. Jude choses - ok, but nothing special

Has anyone heard about what Medtronic or Stryker are doing?
