I hoping everyone on here could offer me suggestions. I have taken Phy I and II and I do not remember much from it. I made A's in both classes and understood the material when I was taking two years ago. Now, I trying to decide whether or not to sit in on a Phy II class for a refresher or simply study the material from TPR. It seems to cover most of the Physics I had before. I know I could get through all the Physics material in TPR this semester and have all summer before to review everything. What should I do? Take the refresher course or study by myself. Also, I do think I can teach myself the material since I have my old book and TPR and made A's in both classes before. I got it once. I should be able to get it again. Thanks, all!

are you kidding me? Self study. practice practice with problems. passive learning is useless when it comes to studying for physics.

Self study from the material TPR gives you. I would not recommend studying directly from your old class notes just because you are given a lot more information than you need for the MCAT from college courses. Prep course material tends to condense the material you need so you memorize only what will be tested. If anything you can always reference your old notes/book. :luck:

Again, self-study, since your options are actually a) attend class AND self-study or b) self study. In the end, sucess on the MCAT is really about knowing the material, and for most people the best way to know the material cold is to slog through problems. The TPR matierial is solid--in the end I stopped going to my TPR class and just used the books, and it was fine (and when I started studying, the only physics equations I could remember were F=ma and e=mc2.)

Ok, I was highly favoring self-study and thanks to everyone's suggestions I do not feel bad about being lazy and not attending another class. I enjoy reading and learning anyway. Most teachers are not that helpful unless you can't read!

Now, I have another question in relations to my other post.

Do I just study TPR and use the Science Workbook or would Nova Physics be better to use? I really do not have the time to use both and would like to know which one is better. Alot of people on here say both are good. I can do the math but I have a harder time grasping the concepts. Thanks.
