I've been reading these threads for a couple months already, but this is the first time I've posted. I recently received an interview offer at SIU and was wondering if anyone else will be interviewing in Springfield on Nov. 30th. Also, is there anyone that has already interviewed there and can give some advice? thanks.

I interviewed there a couple of weeks ago.
Everyone was very friendly and the interviews were very conversational. We got a tour by a medical student and had a chance to chat with some second-years who were around.
I stayed at the Carpenter Street Hotel for $56.00, tell them you're inteviewing there. 888-779-9100.
The office staff said they send out letters one way or another the day after the committee considers your application.
I had lunch across the street at the hospital cafeteria for about $4.00.
