I hope something frees up for you. It appears your choice of schools to apply to was probably too optimistic. I'm a bit surprised that you find it relevant to cite the rankings of schools you haven't yet been accepted at, as if that might reflect positively on you?

I think they do reflect positively on him. You know how hard it is to get four to 10 interviews.

Many schools interview 700 people for maybe 200 acceptances they give out. It ends up really being a crapshoot, especially if you don't stand out when they look at your application again. None of my interviews went badly at all.

I had 4 interviews all of which resulted in a waitlist. I guess it's time to start filling out AMCAS again for next year

i'm 8/8 also and most of the interviewers said i was a very good applicant, with at least half saying they hoped i attended that particular school...i think schools are just waitlisting a ton this year.

No, seriously. Congrats on the waitlists. Rejections < Waitlists < Acceptances. You ALMOST stand out enough for an acceptance. Better than some people get.

If the average school accepts 15% of it's waitlist, your probability of getting in is:

P(8) = 1-.85^8 = 0.73 = 73%
