Will we ever see a physician be the president in our life time? SammyJR 2030!!
Genius. Vote for the guy that would cut medicare and student loans. Lets see how you'd make it through medical school or live through residency training if there's any spots left.Rand Paul MD is running for president in 2016. He has my vote.

Did Obama take a stand on cutting student loans and medicare before he ran for president? It's not excusable for Obama to do it by any means, but to directly vote against your own interest with a candidate that has said directly they will cut those if they can is an entirely different monster.Didn't Obamas budget just cut 300 million?
Anywho--oversimplifying the issue and you know it.
This is not a gray area or the media. Rand Paul has made it clear he'd cut both if possible. As we know, politics aren't what the news tells us and there are a lot of grey areas.
I personally believe we are going to have a republican president next. Who is the better alternative at the moment within that party?

I don't believe we're going to get a republican president for at least the next term, perhaps two. The republican party will need to distance itself heavily from its racist immigrant policies and homophobia. Now that the country may move to get Puerto Rico as the 51st state, gay marriage is becoming legal in more states, the southern strategy is dying with larger minority vote turn around and marijuana is being legalized recreationally, republicans are in deep trouble.
SammyJR: Rand Paul is Ron Paul's son. He is the one who did the filibuster recently.
Triage: Out of curiosity, are you worried at all about the increase on income taxes if you are (most likely) going to be in that top bracket?? Democrats essentially expect people like you, me, and a lot of us here to save the debt while they continue to spend.
I ask this only because, personally, I am very socially liberal. I agree with every democrat when it comes to social issues, but I can never get myself to agree with their economic policies.
