esclavo, you made great points and yes, by low standards, one can refer to "cultural" standards. also, you are right in the sense that many men seek more than the transient and the physical and the short-term. however, i am by no means using the term prude to refer to those types of men, or women for that matter. in fact, i do not recall equating men who seek long-term emotional gains to prudes. to make this brief and clear, here is what i meant by prude:
the western (specifically american) male who HAS the desire to engage in short term physical gratification and HAS the time, the place, and the right environment, and yet does not do it because of the following reasons: 1-sex taboo...2-extreme conservatism...3-the view that sexually active men cannot be as professional....4-religion...5-the fear of being judged by fellow conservative professionals (for instance: a white man who has an attraction to an indian woman or another man or an interest in plain sport f...k..g would be afraid of the judgement of fellow professional conservatives when they'd see him with the indian woman, so this man would deny himself what he truly wants just to live up to the expectations of the extended family and the surrounding social circle).....
one last thing i need to make clear in this post for once and for all: hook ups and sport sex need not be "mechanical" at all. they can be just as sensual and creative as what you'd expect among long-term lovers.
all in all, you do make great points for a flaky player like myself...lol 🙂
