Hi everyone! I just got my acceptance letter from SRU... I wasn't expecting to hear from them so soon, but I will need to make a decision and submit my deposit by Mon., October 14. It's a back-up school for me because I am from SoCal and ideally would like to stay here lol.... 🙁(

Can any current students share what their program is like so far? How do you guys feel about the classes, professors, preparation for fieldwork/career, your cohort etc.? Please feel free to DM me as well. Thank you ^__^

Thank you!! I submitted my application to SRU on 9/18/19. Totally wasn't expecting like a 2week turn around time..... I thought I was going to hear back around January or so.

GPA: 3.82
Pre-req GPA: ~3.9 (only A or A-'s)

Volunteering/Observing:
- 100 hours in pediatric clinic
- 70 hours in different pediatric clinic
- 60 hours in outpatient hand clinic

Job:
- 4 years as an office student assistant

Letters of Rec:
2 OTs, 1 employer, 1 research methods professor

Extracurriculars
- several leadership positions in multicultural sorority
- vp for greek council
- eta sigma gamma health education honor society
- research assistant for lab that focuses on children w autism
- rehab tech internship at rehab hospital
- senior care & rehab internship at assisted living facility
- calfresh/food stamps program outreach internship
- healthy communities research internship
- volunteer at hospital (1 summer)
- volunteer at community resource center
- presentation on mental health at a conference in may 2019
