Hey all, I asked this question a couple of weeks ago, but no one responded. Anyway, just curious to see if anyone has been rejected from SLU at this point (cause I've yet to see it). Thanks.

Yes, rejected via email.

Nope... no interview there either though.

and nothing but silence so far.

not a word after complete

I'm sorry to hear that Dr.; however, I appreciate your willingness to tell me.

I know this doesn't help you guys but they are working since I got a response today after my Jan 16th interview

when do they finish interviewing?

Got an e-mail rejection this morning.

I am torn over the medium used for rejection. One hand, they didn't even send a spiffy letter headed rejection to add to my collection but on the other hand, the e-mail is faster. Which is preferable, aesthetics over quickness? I will not sleep tonight.

For those of you who have been rejected, when were you complete? I'm just wondering about how far they are through their applications.

If it makes you feel any better, SLU's acceptances are sent only by email. No fancy letter for that either 🙁.

Not a peep from them since my completion in Early August.

anyone rejected post-interview? I was waitlisted early January and I was wondering if they ever reject anyone after interview. I suspect they just put everyone not accepted on the waitlist 🙁

Anyone have any idea how many they interview, and then how many they accept? Just wondering what my chances are. And from what I've heard a waitlist = rejection. Is this true?

I was just looking in USNWR for this info. The data there is that they accept approx 490 people (the data is from 2005), and I think they interview roughly 1K? USNWR doesn't have the interview data and I'm just recalling the MSAR numbers from the top of my head. If someone has better numbers feel free to correct me.
Anybody know what proportion of their class is filled? I was just recently invited to interview after being complete since mid-august, and I'm wondering what the chances are....

Thanks...that's not such bad news. I thought they were one of those schools that interviews a huge number so that your chances are around 1/5. :luck:

I just interviewed there this week and my interviewer said that the admissions committee would be meeting again in two to three weeks. They are also increasing their incoming class to 175 this year.

do they even reject pre-interview ??

Has anyone heard about how many spots they have left??

I'd like to ammend my previou post. After checking the MSAR, SLU interviewd about 800 people , about 400 of whom were eventually extended an acceptance. If they're accepting 175, they might increase the number of interviewees...

Is everyone being rejected pre or post interview? However on the upside i'm glad they are increasing the size of their class! better chance at getting in! Praying... :luck:

Yeah, I hope my interviewing late (March 5) doesn't ruin my chances of an acceptance there. I think I would like it there, and I am excited to see the place. If they really accept 50% of their interviewees, that's pretty good odds.

and still....NOTHING. I mean, can it really take 5+ months to review what a few pages of stuff? I must be dinged already. That can be the only explanation.

I was rejected by e-mail..like a few days ago or something.

eh..whatever, I wouldn't have wanted to go to Missouri anyway unless it was my last resort =)

Good luck to everyone else.

For those wondering, I was complete sometime in end of October/beginning of November.

I can't understand the slow turnaround times. I was complete August 12, but I get the interview invite at the end of Jan. Perhaps my PS was so amazing they had to make sure all the adcom members could read it before deciding😀
