hey all,
im working on a science fair project and was wondering if anyone in here knew the bacteria, fungi, or yeast that are commonly found in the samll intestine.

Well, I hope there isn't any fungi or yeast in our intestines. First of all, there isn't any resident microbes (normally...sometimes they are in trace numbers) in the small intestine. The microorganisms reside in your large intestine also called the colon. Those microorganisms are Escherichia coli, Enterobacter aerogenes, Bacteroides fragilis, some cocci (sphere shaped) and bacilli (rod shaped). (Don't know their names). If this is a science fair project, you should fine quite a bit of information on E.coli as that bacteria is the most characterized bacteria in science.
