Small-town COMs and social activities...

So I know that going to med school is very intense, but you also need some times to relax and have fun...

How is the social life in places like Pikeville, Biddeford, Kirksville, and Lewisburg? I know that is something that ranks low on the list of things to look for, but do you ever find yourselves going NUTS for something to do in places like this? I used to live in a small town (25 miles to McDonalds, Wal-Mart, or a Movie Theater), and I know how boring it can get. And sometimes you need to let loose to relax, whether by bar, movie, golf, or any other form of entertainment...

So if anyone could kinda tell me what it's like, I'd appreciate it.
