Does any think that it nis a good idea to apply to the smaller dental schools? I am revising my list and was wondering. Also does anyone know anything about the University of Washington? Is it a good school to apply to?

Any suggestions about good dental schools would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.😍

Personally, I dont think you can pick and choose dental schools. Dental schools pick and choose us. Apply to ones that you have similar entrance stats with. UW is extremely competitive in the sense that they take mostly in-state residents before they consider out-of-state people. So you can see, the ones they choose from out of state will have to be very competitive.

I am sure you have read the posts, but in case yo have not you'll find that people aren't afraid to post their dislikes about their schools. There are pros and cons about EVERY school, some schools just have more cons than others. Here is how I look at it - if I could get into only one school and that school was one of the ones that people complain about here - i.e. USC, NOVA, the cheaters at Indiana, etc, I would still take a seat there in a hearthbeat because I want to be a dentist. If it took me 6 to 7 years, I would still tke that slot if that was my only option. The good schools are the ones you get into.

That said, I have several friends (since I grew up in Idaho and have also lived in Washington) who went to UW dental school. They felt positive about their experience at UW and felt they got a quality education even if it was smaller than most. In some senses, a smaller class is better as you get more individualized attention. If living in Seattle interests you, apply there.
