Graduating IM in a little under a year and a half.
I am somewhat proficient in US - bedside IVC, FAST exams, etc, but I'm looking to enhance my skills and pad the CV.
My GME has offered to pay for my POCUS Certification through the Society of Hospital Medicine. We do not have a dedicated POCUS program at our hospital and I was hoping of using this as a way to build a curriculum for my junior residents, too. I also don't have a lot of time to practice unless I'm on nights. Most residents use their GME funds to buy new computers/iPads and I don't really have a need for that.
Wanted to get some feedback on anyone that has gone through this program - will it help me in the job market? Is it worth it?
