Hi everyone. I couldn't find it in the sticky or anywhere else, so hopefully it hasn't been asked yet (sorry if it has). So when one is in a SMP and takes med school level A&P, Biochem, etc., do those graduate courses then transfer into the person's first year of med school as already completed? I thought I read somewhere that the particular school, for instance Loyola, would take Loyola's coursework, but it might not transfer that way at another school. Anyone hear of this or is it just wishful thinking?

OK, I did find one reference to this and it was with respect to RFU's Applied Phys program (that it does give credit and the student would be an advanced MS1).....so I guess the question now is any recent news on that since the program changed? Anyone have any other thoughts?

I think a lot of it depends on the schools. What school you do the SMP at, and what school you ultimately attend. I know, for instance, with the Gtown SMP, if you attend Gtown med, you have the option of skipping Embryology, Histology, Physiology, Endocrinology and Neuroscience. Some schools accept some classes from Gtown - for instance, NYMC will allow you to skip Histo and Physio (I believe) if you want.

I can't speak to other programs, though. I'd imagine its probably a similar situation.
