Ok...I submitted my application to AADSAS on the 20th Aug, and just sent my transcripts. Letters of recommendations are rolling in, and my DAT scores have already been sent to the schools, as well as those requiring supp. applications. My GPA is 3.68, my science is 3.66, am a Biology major, Latin American Affairs minor, have 100+ volunteer hours with a dental clinic + 45 hours at an orthodontic clinic, a 20 AA on the DAT (19 PAT, 21 TS). Am I in good standing, even if the schools receive my app around mid-September?

I think you are fine but it also depends on the schools you applied!

applied to UF, UNC, UPenn, BU, Tufts, NYU, Columbia, Nova

your stats seem "ok" but you're never "ok" until the schools get your complete app. by a reasonable time.

I love how only on SDN are above average gpas and DAT scores considered "okay"...

To the OP, you're in fine shape. No worries.

Im right there in the same boat with you except a few details...I submitted my App to UNC in late July/Early August...and I am a re-applicant with 2 degrees (B.S. Bio/B.A. Chem)

yes...I'm a FL resident, but just applying to UNC to see what happens 😳

Please, do not worry. You are in very good shape, excellent stats. Just so you know I submitted my ADSAS application Aug. 31 and took my DAT somewhere in mid Nov. when I applied in 2005. So you are in great shape, sit back and watch the mailbox.

God Bless

Studied hard! Got my first DAT results back. I'm kind of skeptical with the scores... I actually thought I did better.

Should I apply the upcoming cycle or should I retest and enter into a postbacc enhancement program?

Can I get in with these scores??

1st: AA/TS/PAT: 19/19/22

sci GPA: 2.9
GPA: 2.76
postbaccGPA: 3.02

Master: HRM
Bach: Business
Cert: Dental Asst.

It might be tough with those GPA scores, but remember theres way more to it than just stats and numbers. Good personal essay and LORs could easily tip the scale

DATs are solid... retaking them isn't the issue. You can apply this year, but honestly your chances aren't that great. Not saying you won't get in though and, if you don't, you'll be much more prepared for next year!

Why is your post-bac gpa so low though?
