So I just put the finishing touches on my application for Washington University yesterday. Low and behold when I got home from being on campus all day, my roommate tells me I have mail.....

I had a letter from Washington University playing up their MSW program.

Ironic? I think so!

I remember a program did that to me too, though it was for their MS program (stepping stone). I didn't hear back yet for my doctoral app, but I was pretty sure it'd be in the mail too (it was).

thats funny. my roommate told me the other day i had a mini packet from washu in the mail i nearly died. i ran to get it and it was just the msw advertisement stuff. funny

Columbia Teacher's College actually went so far as to send me a message saying "congratulations you've been accepted" only to have me find out that where I was accepted was into their Masters program. Evil. Although given that they never interviewed me I kind of expected that something was wrong when i got that.

i didn't have something so i didn't send it. i am not overly stressed about it, but it does make me a little nervous.

And if you ever hijack my thread again I'LL.....probably just answer your question. I didn't send a writing sample. I've got a decent one, but my laptop got beer spilled on it (I need new friends) so I no longer have it.

I wouldn't worry about it too much if you didn't send one. The way I look at it they get so many applications it probably won't make much of difference because their brains will be mush from reading so much.

Unless if you cured cancer or something.....then I would send it.
