told me straight up i did not follow direction so its my fault and have to live with consequences.

most likely will have to repeat this class now since i was borderline passing to begin with. really sucks.

I second this; or perhaps your Student Affairs would be best to talk to first. Easier to talk to them, the dean could be weeks away for an appointment. No administration is going to let this proffesor do that...

I agree there is a certain part about maturity and responsbility, but what you did is a very simple mistake that is easily correctable.
