Is Sallie Mae still accepting Applications for the Big three and Private Loans ( not the Federal) ?

OK I checked the only school on the list for Private Sallie Mae is SGU thats it along with tons of foriegn schools.

It's kinda f-ed up that other foreign schools are okay... we are talking about medical education loans right? So some school in India or China is safer? How interesting.. Is it because residency now doesn't care as much about your experience in the US as they do about your USMLE scores.

Yes I agree and I am not trying to make a big deal out of this but to many of us at the other schools who need these options it is a big deal.

Sallie Mae Canceled any loan not verified by the school by the 27th also, so there have been a few caught by that, somehow the loan was not updated and verified so SM just canceled them.........according to a new post they will not be reinstated so these students are screwed......Thanks SM

It's not their fault really... it's the programs who rather take a non US citizen over a US citizen.. making loaning US citizens in the carribean rather risky. Can't blame a company for being cautious.
