So nervous to start medical school

Honestly, many of us were in the same shoes. Theres really nothing you can do to prepare by the whirlwind of school starting, and it doesn't really matter if you are fresh out of college or not because the demands are so different from other levels of academics. I would just try your best to have fun with the rest of your summer, and try to keep a positive outlook as you enter classes no matter how difficult and stressful it may be 😉.

On another note, seeing advice like this used to stress me out and make me feel like school was going to be too hard for me. Its not true, don't let it get you wound up! If you're willing to work hard and adapt as needed, you'll survive no matter what.

Just start hard and be willing to put in all the time you have in the day from the start. It's easier to continue to back off later when you're realizing you don't need to be doing as much to pass.

I was four years out and empathize with the feeling. Just put in the time early on and realize you need to find your way to be efficient. You’ll be fine as long as you put in the effort

Hear hear! I started off med school as if it was this some sort of apocalypse, and I tried to equip as much armor and weapon as I could before class first started (metaphorically), and boy was that a good choice. My apocalyptic view of med school and all those "unnecessary" precautions I kept making made the experience of med school so much more doable afterwards.

You’re going to do fine. The large majority of folks who start medical school, successfully complete it.
