So what does everyone consider "solid stats"?

Just my two cents: sure, research would be great, so would a 40 on your MCAT and having opened a free clinic in Madagascar. From my perspective, I'm much more likely to do either of the other two than willingly step foot in a lab...if clinical experience is your thing, go with that and be passionate about it in your interview. I think lab research indicates that you can stick with something, that you are patient, that you are interested in science, and have a true intellectual curiosity--honestly, I feel that the right combination of clinical experiences can prove the same without the agar and gel electrophoresis.

There are research labs that do things other than chemicals and petri dishes, you know. 😉

I'm doing labwork right now, what is the difference between research and lab work? I think i'm doing both but since u brought up that point i'm not so sure...
