All I can tell you is this....I will DEFINITELY not be in this country during that time!!! I so need a break from dental school!

Im currently planning a trip for my class to the Dominican Republic! I got a flight for 200+tax and we are gonna rent a villa for $100/week per person. Sweet deal, eh!!

Anyone else have plans so far?

Nope, she's a senior undergrad. She doesn't start supporting my indebted gluteals until this summer--but she's already getting interviews from pretty respectable companies, so I think we'll be in pretty good shape. I've started looking at BMW's online. 😀

I plan to be a substitute teacher for junior high students. They are take a science trip to Yosemite and basically need teachers to guide them. So I can do that for a week. Out in the nature. And get paid something like 150 per day. Total 750 earning. Living, food, transportation... all paid. I hope it works out.

The Dominican is beautiful, I have been there twice. Once to Puerto Plata and once to La Ramona. Where are you staying? The two sides of the island are so different.

This spring break my wife daughter and I are going to Negril, Jamacia. Cant wait for that warm sun

Anyways gross is going ok...i aced the lecture but I think I bombed the practical part....my cadaver is cool...old dude with diabetes....not fat so he is pretty easy to cut up.

Ugggh...BMW's suck ass! I currently have a BMW now and sure the ride is sweet and the car looks amazing, but it is such a gas guzzler, and filling up the tank all the time with premium kinda pisses you off eventually. Plus, if anything happens with the car its a fortune to repair....We used to have a Mercedes and it was the same deal. German cars are just not worth it!

From now on, my family only goes Japanese. We have an old Infinit now and its still running, but You cant beat a Lexus....that thing runs so smooth and its economical, looks sexy, and best of all, when it needs it (hardly ever), repairing it is easy and cheap. We are very happy with our Lexus and think from now on will only buy Lexus.

Jags are sweet, but they are for old white men.

Never had an Audi or Acura so I dont know about them. A good ole American Cadillac seem pretty decent as well.

hey....actually I organized the entire trip by myself independently...so there was a cheap flight from Philly and then there are tons of villas in the Dominican to rent....like huge 8 bedroom villas with private beach, pool, kitchen, the whole sha-bang working out to $100/week per person. Hopefully its gonna be a big party everynight. I plan to be drunk and talk $hit to my fellow classmates all week.

I dont like going through agents or all-inclusives cause you end up paying for crap you never use. All you can drink? Who cares when a bottle of rum down there in the local shop costs $3!

Presenting research at the IADR/AADR convention in Baltimore. Hopefully I'll get a few days to relax in D.C. and check out so museums, etc. Always fun to work over Spring Break!

Anyways gross is going ok...i aced the lecture but I think I bombed the practical part....my cadaver is cool...old dude with diabetes....not fat so he is pretty easy to cut up.

No she's pretty ugly actually😉 Thanks for asking. As for gross, I aced the lecture portion and got a 58% for the practical on the first exam but ended up with an A on both sections for the class. The first test was sort of a wake up call for many students and the profs know this (hence it being weighted less then the other two exams). Just put in some hours over the weekend studying and knowing exactly where the items in bold (in your handouts) are on the cadaver. Go with a buddy and test yourselves. Also, stick with Dr. Washburn. He's so cool he'd come in the weekends and tutor people. Just make sure not too many people find out b/c it's hard to learn when you can't see the cadaver with so many heads looking over it. Also, remember to take him out for drinks after the semester's over🙂 Just put in the time and you'll be fine.

First week of break: admire flowers in my garden
Second week: Cruising down Mexican Riviera to stock up on Vit D.

Slight change in my spring break plans....the Dominican Republic has been having some problems with malaria lately, and I kinda like my life at the moment and not in the mood to die just yet, so that trip had to be cancelled.

but I did book another flight today.........TO EUROPE!!! And the ticket was only $300!!!!!!!! OH YAH!! Going on a huge tour of Europe.....Ive already seen most of Europe already, but its nice to go back and see it again and visit some old friends....going to Birmingham, UK.......Barcelona, Spain......Sardinia, Italy and finally Cologne, GermanY!!!! The Countdown begins.....24 days and counting!!

on the other hand, please dont kill me but i just had this other idea as well. i was kinda thinking about going back to los angeles and working for my former mentor dentist for 4 weeks only because it would benefit me a lot this time assisting him. now that i have been more exposed to dentistry, i could really learn a lot more from him. but then here at IUSD, our 2nd year is living hell so i am really confused wether i should shadow or have a blast over the break knowong what i have ahead of me next year.

You better watch it, cause there has been numerous cases where people who have come back from the tourist areas of DR recently coming back extremely sick and hospitalized. The US and Canadian governments have issued a travel warning to the DR. If you booked through a tour operator, apparently most operators will change the destination at no extra cost.

I'm telling you, though...that place is awesome. Hit up the North Shore area (Puerto Plata, Samana) - That's where the parties are the best.
