As for the 99/99/99, I have to tell you that if you have been a hospitalist for 10+ years and you are not getting 85+ on your USMLE, I'd be worried about the patients you have been treating these last 10 years. Experience beats IQ in medicine cause not too many things are logical when you haven't seen half the story... like diagnosing Legionella, a pneumonia (system 1) that causes diarrhea (system 2) with a urinary antigen (system 3). Of course we can argue the system is looking for "experienced" MDs over "intelligent" MDs but now we are really going off topic.

Anyway, surgery is getting even more competitive and so are the rest of the specialties.

you didn't see the term he used before it was deleted by dr cox. making an observation, or perceived observation, is one thing. using that term is quite another.
