I finished my SOAP application about an hour and a half ago. When should we expect interview invitations? Thank you so much for any hints.

Program-initiated communications after 2pm today until 11:30 am tomorrow. If I remember correctly, people were contacted for interviews well into the evening, so keep your phone handy.

Still no phone calls for me 🙁. Do phone interviews wrap up tomorrow at 11:30, or will they continue throughout the day as the programs' rank lists aren't due until Wed?

There are several rounds. The first round ends tomorrow at 11:30 with the programs certifying their list by 11:55 and offers going out at noon. Applicants who receive offer(s) have until 2pm to accept one. Offers for the next round go out at 3pm with a 5pm deadline for acceptance. There are up to 3 more rounds on Thurs, until the available spots are all filled.

IMG here, 212 second attempt/224/passed CS with a 2011 YOG, 4 LoR's from US Physicians(research and clinical) and a small publication/conference presentation. Applied to Neuro/IM/FM/Prelim Surgery. No phone calls yet. Good luck to the rest of you.

Actually, the first round doesn't end until Wednesday. It's just that programs can begin putting in their preferences tomorrow at 11:30. So I guess interviews/calls could go on all day tomorrow. They have until Wed 11:55am.

OK that's what I figured. So I'm on the west coast, but the majority of programs to which I applied are on either Eastern or Central time. How late should I be waiting for phone calls this evening?

I gotta admit, I'm feeling pretty discouraged at this point. I'm from the US, graduated from UAB in 2011, interned in FM at UASOM, but took a leave of absence to take care of my family. So I'm trying to get back in from the ground up, just starting from scratch. I can only handle so much rejection before I worry I should just give up, let it go, and move on. Sigh.

i'm in a similar situation. also an AMG, started a residency previously but left after a year due to reasons different from yours. did grad school for a while, got a master's. now trying to get back in the game has proved an extremely discouraging experience. i thought with the interviews i had this season that i would have a great shot, but i guess i was fooled by the smoke and mirrors of some programs just out to fill their spots. still have a few more waves of SOAP, but maybe this is the world telling me "no." it's hard.
