I am saying that a lot of people on here are just regurgitating Republican talking points on crime without actually knowing, understanding, or many times accepting the facts.
Cities with large Republican populations or Republican mayors still experience crime. Extensive criminological data and major university studies show that crime rates are driven by systemic factors like economic conditions, poverty, and population density rather than the partisan control of city leadership.
Major cities with large Republican constituencies or Republican mayors, such as Jacksonville, FL, Tulsa, OK, and Bakersfield, CA, have frequently recorded higher violent crime and homicide rates than many large Democratic-led cities like New York City or San Diego. While the political narrative here and on other Republican talking head shows often focuses on urban centers, FBI and CDC crime statistics indicate that red, Republican-voting states often experience higher per capita homicide and gun death rates than blue, Democratic-voting states. This is why the comments by Lakers fans and others are not consistent with facts on the ground.
But yet the narrative continues.....
