It wasn’t me, but I basically agree with you. But only one side is saying defund the police and they also just got elected in New York City, so there’s less incentive to not commit crime when they say that. Then the DAs let them off. Case in point the Ukrainian woman who has stabbed in the neck.
I understand your concerns. I do. But the facts are that crime in NYC is at the lowest since the stat was being records and it is much lower per capital that cities such as Tulsa and Jacksonville in solid red states with local republican leaders.
Can you be more specific who you are referring to? I see a lot of Mamdani criticism intentionally conflating criticism of AIPAC and Israel with antisemitism.
Brad Lander was one of the primary winners. He is not popular among pro-israel and AIPAC supporters, but he's certainly not antisemitic (and is infact Jewish).

I have been called an anti-semite on this forum some time back simply by criticizing the government of Israel for their role in the Iran War. I criticized our government too which is justified

Someone on this forum said that people are overly sensitive about characterizing someone's comments as racist. I think that some are even more sensitive about characterizing comments as anti-semitic. Criticizing the Israeli government is no closer to being an anti-semite than criticizing the goverment of Ghana is being racist towards blacks.

ADL also equates anti-Zionism with antisemitism. So one can't criticize Zionism, a political and nationalist ideology, without being an antisemite.
ADL supported Trump's deporting pro-Palestinian activists - simply for political speech for criticizing Israel. It's hard to take a group seriously that supports human rights of one group but supports totally shafting another.
It's a real problem. Actual antisemitism is a real problem, but it's getting lost in the noise as people are starting to roll their eyes when everything critical of Israel is screamed as antisemitism.
It's terrible. Even having sympathy for the situation (see Ms Rachel on Youtube) will get you labeled an antisemite.

squeeze any type of minority in to a small area with limited options of getting out in a poverty stricken area is always going to lead to increased crime. (fwiw, chinatown and even little italy have higher crime rates than the US average).
in addition, the firearm homicide rate fails to note that most of the US black homicides are black on black deaths with guns initially purchased legally.
if one wanted to "fix" this problem, then one would look into improving access of inner city youth to avenues to improving socioeconomic status outside of sports.

There is a lot of data on race and crime straight from the FBI. It's easily accessible and interesting.

They hate capitalism. They hate millionaires and billionaires. The left and their proxies are screaming free Palestine, but not free Palestine from Hamas. I think it’s due to the nationwide crack down on illegals and maybe the FBI. Plenty of theories regarding statistics. I don’t think it’s due to the mayor. He’s only been in office for a few months.
Why the crackdown on illegals? Do illegals commit more or less crime than the average US citizen? If illegals commit less crime on average, deporting them would increase crime per capita, not decrease it.

I don't care to send billions to Israel. I don't care for the majority of our elected officials to visit Israel on behalf of the pro-Israel lobby. I don't care for AIPAC and allies to dump tens of millions in Congressional races through shell PACs using misleading ads on domestic issues that have zero to do with Israel (except the candidate is critical of Israel). I don't care to be involved in an Iran war due to Israeli special interests.
I don't care for Hamas, but we aren't sending them money, and their lobby isn't interfering in local issues.
The conversation regards crime in NYC. Being in this country illegally is a violation of federal law, not the law of the state or city of NY. Can you tell me which code of NY illegals are violating by being here "illegally?"

Lowkey we have already Americans doing crime especially minority groups. We can’t offer to have illegals doing crime. Just with that conclusion they need to be out. We need to protect our people. Then probably the minority groups will behave. Minority group I refer to blacks and browns(Latino)

..but with your argument, since we're dealing with groups as a whole, we should concentrate our police forces on the groups that cause the most crime. Unfortunately for you, since you claim to be Hispanic and I'll assume you're also a US citizen, we should focus on you, since your particular group causes more crime than the average American and also the average illegal immigrant, since on average this group tends to cause less crime than the average American.
So, you must agree that if we need to start deporting groups that commit violent crimes, you would be one of the first to go, since per capita, your group (US citizens of Hispanic heritage) commits fewer crimes than blacks but more crimes than whites, which commit more crimes than Asians.
Maybe we should just have Chinese and Jews running around here. Damn it, can't do that, we don't like those two groups either. Better idea, let's just get rid of everyone, then there will be no crime.

No no I actually acknowledge that my peopel are causing a lot of crime. I agree they should go after this people to the fullest including blacks. Trust me I grew up in the ghetto of la and all the crime that happens in good middle and upper class neighborhoods come from low life’s in ghettos. They go and rob or just look for trouble. I feel the best way forward is to in force laws and don’t be empathetic to a group of people. If an immigrant broke a law get out of USA. If an immigrant isn’t assimilating get them out, trust my parents are immigrants and they believe the same stuff. Growing up all immigrants knew that if they get caught then they will go home. They came here for a mission to make money and have stuff in their country if they got deported. But now they think the government will safe them. All I’m asking is to enforce laws and to manage this immigrantion problems in our border states.
