Which of the following is the most soluble in water?

View attachment Picture 7.png

Sorry, the answer is shown, boxed in green: choice C. . But, I'd like to go further w/ 2 questions.

1.) Would compound C still be soluble in water if the H was not attached?

2.) Can someone verify the rank of solubility in water :Greatest to Least

Solubility of Compound C > Compound D > Compound A> Compound B

Is that right?

1. I would say yes, but not as soluble. Similar to how an alcohol is more soluble than a ketone.

2. I would guess C > A > B > D. Despite all the Ph on A and B, they can still hydrogen bond. Compound D doesn't have any H's with which to hydrogen bond.
