OOS for both. I received a scholarship so COA is not a factor. Please help me choose! I'm interested in becoming a general dentist but don't wanna completely rule out specializing yet.

UMN
Pro:
Fantastic collaborative environment, everyone I met seems really nice
External rotations in community / rural clinics
strong research
Have friends who are current students
Seems more well-known

Con:
I'm really scared of the cold
heard something about them not having advanced tech / digital dentistry
Lots of waxing? later clinical exposure
advanced cases goes to residents
Bigger class size though I'm not sure how that will affect my experience
No windows in simlab

OHSU
Pro:
Not cold; I like the food scene in Portland; Interested in exploring other western states
Smaller class size; small student faculty ratio
P/F so less stressful?
Training in digital dentistry; high tech
Start clinic earlier
The facility looks beautiful; nice view from the simlab

Con:
advanced cases goes to residents
Interviewed online so not as familiar with the vibe
Heard the area is not very safe but I'm not sure if this is true
People online seem to not know this school or think it's Ohio. I'm a little worried about getting a job outside of OR

which school is closer to friends/family?
where do you want to practice in the future?

I'm from the south so tbh neither. I'm fine with either staying near the school (if I end up liking them) or coming back to the southeast.

are you positive there's no difference in COA?
