I just downloaded the class schedule for UMDNJ-SOM, which in a perfect world would be my first choice if this all works out.... and it makes me sad that all these med schools require pre requisites <g>
Most of this material seems to be a lot of what I'm taking at a graduate level but I'm sure it's much , MUCH more difficult and detailed. But it is certainly interesting to see the crossovers.
But it does make me sad that I have to spend a year or year and a half taking classes I'll just repeat in med school when I have an academic record, although in a COMPLETELY Different field which an admissions committee could review...
I know Law school and med school are completely different animals.. Won't they take my Math aptitude scores or just give me some calc problems to work out? LOL
Sorry I know I could handle the material but I guess I have to be patient if I want to get to where I want to go. Not one of my strong suits.
For instance, in registering for my Pre-Req's at Stockton, I just thought I could do it as a Non Matriculant but they won't let me register as a Non Matric and then the classes are all closed up.... I guess I'll have to speak to the faculty member in charge who can pull some strings and get me into Organic chem in the fall.
Oh and for anyone out there who went back after a long layoff and took your pre req's .. did you find it odd that some of your teachers chose to do like a completely subjective Essay format for basic science courses? Jeez, could there be a more "objective" course of study.. What's the need for 10 essays on what Neil Young thinks of Acid Rain? Lol..
Sorry but I better get an A on that puppy or I'll be highly disappointed. I studied way more than I needed to for that test <g>
