Does the US News 2005 edition have data for all the schools?

I would like to see these percentages for ECU, Wake, WVU, and Penn State.

Yes, and it breaks it down between in-state and out-of-state. Penn State, unfortunately, didn't respond to their survey and has no stats in the US News data set.

How much do you have to pay for that data?

Ventricle's a smart one!🙂

Kansas accept/interview fraction is .61

As an example of what US News provides (for a $15 subscription fee), here are the Kansas raw numbers:

Applied Interviewed Accepted Enrolled
Total: 1,293 398 242 175
In-state: 413 297 181 153
Out-of-state: 880 101 61 22
Women: 597 193 112 74
Minorities: 381 100 67 48
International: 7 0 0 0

Wow - Thanks so much Ventricle! I have subscribed to US News magazine, but haven't received my first one yet. Though stats don't mean everything, they can certainly prepare you for what to expect!

Muchas Gracias. I'm amazed that my chance at WVU is like 3/4.

Thank you Ventricle.

Wow! Emory (.45), Northwestern (.51), Wake Forest In-state (.61). These schools must have some tough pre-screening.

id really appreciate the stats for these two schools. thanks.

How about UNC in-state?

I usually don't like to be quite this optimistic, but these numbers look so good.

I have interviews at WVU (out-of-state), and Wake and UNC in-state.

Based on these numbers there is a 23.5% chance of rejection from WVU, a 38.1% chance of rejection from Wake and a 58% (I think that this might be based on in-state + out-of-state) chance of rejection from UNC. The chance that I would be rejected from all 3 is:

23.5% x 38.1% x 58% = 5%

Could it really be? I hope I don't end up in that 5%.

George Washington accepted 36% of its interviewees.

For Maryland, it was 58% overall - 62% on the in-state group and 52% of the out-of-state applicants who were invited for interviews.

any chance for VCU or cleveland clinic? ill be in your debt ventricle! thanks!

any word on univ. ala -birm, for instate apps?

just curious, but woudl it be possible to copy the data from the webstie and put it on an excel spreadsheet and we coudl just try to PM u for the file. This process seems to be tedious for ventricle.

there is no data available from this source on the cleveland clinic.
But with 250 interviews and 32 open seats, you can bet they are going to be in the .2-.3 range.

for VCU:
In-state: 790 applied 296 interviewed 202 accepted 100 matriculated
Out-of-state: 3,119 applied 333 interviews 211 accepted 84 matriculated

So in-state is 68%, out-of-state is 63%.
Note that all of these numbers include folks who were initially waitlisted, then later accepted.

makes me feel better about my interview in two weeks

Does anyone have the stats for MCG and Mercer... it would be much appreciated

Excellent. THank you very much, ventricle! There's some old data about this topic already posted on SDN (very old thread), so it's great to have the most recent information.

how did you know that they only interview 250? wowza i cant believe im one of the lucky 250.

do you know how they decide after the interview? do they accept/hold/reject? or do they accept/hold? and is cleveland clinic rolling or non-rolling?

argh so many questions.

Mercer and Medical college of Georgia?

Here are the other schools you guys asked for:

SUNY-Upstate: 0.534 in state; 0.407 out
Cinci: 0.646 in; 0.553 out
UAB: 0.589 in; 0.331 out
MCG: 0.547 in (only 20 out of state interviews, out of which 5 were accepted)
Mercer was not reported.

I also want to add that these numbers are useful to show what has historically happened at a school. Don't bank on the number of acceptances being the same every year. The schools accept until they have a full class and end up accepting a higher number than they want to enroll b/c they have people withdrawing to attend other schools. It is possible that their class could fill up and then stabilize earlier or later in any given year. Also, as liverotcod pointed out, the numbers don't distinguish how many people sat on waitlists for a while before getting their acceptance...these people were NOT all accepted outright.

could you do the louisiana schools if you dont mind...

LSUNO, lsushreve, and tulane

Tulane is 0.363
The LSUs did not have the information reported.
