Some advice please? Which SMP to pick?

Hey Everyone,
I'm just having a slight dilemma. I'm not sure which SMP to pick.
Is there anyone here that could share some words of advice please? I would greatly appreciate it!

Right now I'm trying to decide between:

Tulane - Pharmacology
University of South Florida - Masters of Medical Science
Case Western - MS in Medical Physiology
UMDNJ - Newark MBS
UMDNJ - Startford (DO School) - MBS
George Mason - ABS

I'm not a NJ resident so I feel that I should forget about the 2 UMDNJ options - I'm a NY resident.
And the George Mason ABS program and the Case Western MS in Med Physiology are relatively young programs so their track record is still being established.
This leaves me with Tulane and USF.

My overall gpa is 3.10 with many retakes (DO is an option after the SMP).

But with all of this being said, if you were me, would you pick USF or Tulane?

Based on my reading around SDN, I have seen that the program at Tulane is very solid and gets people in medical school.

USF IMS's tends to get students into their medical school. I'm not quite sure about their other programs. You would probably have a higher chance if you are a Florida resident. I believe their other popular program is the Pre-Professional in Medical Sciences.

Case Western has a well known reputation but it's a new program. I would contact them directly for more information if I were you. Many opportunities if you have a solid MCAT, and are looking to prove yourself to medical schools.

UMDNJ - Newark MBS - Have heard good things about this school. I have read that it gets people in the surrounding areas of NJ, MA, and NY.

UMDNJ - Startford (DO School) - MBS - Don't know.
George Mason - ABS - Don't know.

If I were you, I'd be choosing between Tulane, USF (If you are an IMS student), Case, or UMDNJ Newark.

I'd go with Tulane because of the location and the fact that you could replace your first year of med school with the program.

Can someone help me decide between Rosalind Franklin vs. Loyola MAMS? Seems like Loyola is a better program but Rosalind Franklin would be faster and easier since you might not even need to spend a year applying to schools since their program acceptance rate is so high. I just want to go to any MD school.

Loyola is def a better program. But what are your stats like?
RFU's program is very picky on their students maintaining a 3.5 GPA in the program for transition into their M1 year.

I actually went to Tulane for the Cell and Molecular Bio master's program and am applying for med schools now. The pharm program is solid because you would take classes downtown on the med school campus and the program is very geared toward getting you to the next level. If you can get a solid GPA there (3.8 or higher) you could still have a shot at MD schools even with a low undergrad GPA. One of the kids in our program had a 3.0 undergrad and got accepted to 3 med schools with a 3.9 from our master's program. It all depends on your MCAT and extra-curriculars (especially if your GPA trended up as an undergrad).

I've never heard the USF program and I was in a program with kids who applied all over the country, so what does that say? I think you should look at Case Western too though. With their med school and the overall reputation of the school I'm sure they'll be churning out future med students as well. Plus both Tulane and LSU's (highly underrated med school) med schools are right there, so you could get plenty of experience there as well.

I've lived in the Chicago suburbs pretty much my whole life and can say that Loyola's reputation (and the program itself) is MUCH better than RF's. If you get into both I'd go Loyola, you'll have a better shot at getting into med schools with Loyola on your application than with RF. That being said I'd be happy to get in at either med school.
