Bear with me. I have recently graduated from UCI with a 3.5 GPA in Biology and a 32-o on my MCAT. I discovered the MPH program not too long ago and I want to go down that path as opposed to going to medical school; I may chose medical school afterwards. I first looked at the USC MPH because of its locality, the name, and the fact that they take MCAT scores. Upon further research I came across the Harvard MPH-IH (International Health). When I read 'job' description and education for the MPH-IH there, I was immediately struck by 'thats what I have to do.' I've never found something to strike me like that in all my years of college. So here are a few questions. To attend the Harvard MPH-IH, what type of work experience would I need to accomplish; I've been in the US on limiting visas so as far as experience goes I have little, I will have the opportunity to work for money until Aug 06 whereby I could gain experience to aide my application but do not know what to focus on. Another question is, are there any excellent MPH-IH programmes that accept the MCAT? If I do take the GRE, should I take the subject tests, or the general test. What GRE score should I personally aim for. I didn't see the USC program on the rankings, do they have a viable program? Sorry for asking so many different questions. It's just that this is a new discovery for me and I know that application periods will be soon so I would like to acquire as much info as possible as soon as possible. Thanks for your time.
