Some Advice Please

I'm 25 and work as a cat scan and x-ray tech for over a year now.
I have a 3.6 cum gpa and a 3.4 bcpm gpa.
28 mcat
plenty of hospital experience obvioulsy by my occupation.
volunteer work
shadowed physicians
won the academic exellence award while i was in x-ray school.
Do I have a shot at MD schools or should I stick exclusively to DO schools.

If you apply "low-tier" you should have a fair chance. Others are better than me for picking schools and compiling a list.

However, your stats are more on par with DO. If you don't have any set convictions of MD or Bust I'd definitely apply DO.

One strong point you have is why you want to be a physician and not a tech the rest of your life. Definitely look into the DO schools and wait to hear back from more people about potential MD schools.
 
If I were you I'd apply to my state schools and to DO schools. If you retake the MCAT (soon) and do better, you can add more schools to the AMCAS application after you get the score back.
