I am a post-grad student who decided to go back and take ALL my pre - reqs for dental school. I'm currently taking the bio and chem series, but no other classes as I already have a B.A. and don't want to waste money on some courses I dont need. do you guys think that not taking a full course load will hurt me? Do you guys think I should bump up my course load next year, (I'll be taking ochem and physics...and maybe anatomy or biochem)

I wouldn't worry about taking a full load. My friend did exactly what you're doing and got plenty of interviews and acceptances. He did have a pretty good gpa in a tough major... and had a 21 DAT.

My story = similar to ur story.

I did most of my post-bacc (pre-reqs) while working fulltime, so it was impossible for me to be a full time student....

Before applying, I used to contact dental schools about this very issue, most of them pretty much said the same thing: Its okay to be a part-time student if you have a good reason for it (example ~ working fulltime), otherwise, it looks "iffy"
