hi,
these are questions i came across in unrelesed papers which i don,t know
1]ph of a solution with h+ ion conc?i want to know how do you calculate?
2]which is the roundest contact point in the oral cavity?what do we mean by roundest?
3]what is the angulation of anterior and posterior teeth when viewed from saggital?does saggital means lateral view?
pls ans,thankyou,bye,prasad

hi,
when a sequence of dna like 3 ATG 5 or any sequence is given and if they ask us to write the sequence of mrna or trna how do we write it?i laso want to know pls how is it written.i got like four questions on this last time.how is it from MRNA to TRNA AND DNA TO MRNA like this.
some body pls clear my doubt on this
thankyou once again,bye,prasad

hi freinds,
pls post replies.

hi,
what happens when a patient looses a left canine in canine guided occlusion?

Hi nprasad,

This is how u answer such q's:

1..Remember: DNA has 2 strands..one coding strand and one template strand.
mRNa is transcribed from template strand.

Eg😀NA Coding strand: 5' ATGGGGCTCAGCGAC 3'
Template : 3' TACCCCGAGTCGCTG 5'
TRANSCRIPTION TO
mRNA : 5' AUGGGGCUCAGCGAC 3'
and the mRNA is translated to proteins.

As u can see..1.DNA Coding strand and mRNA are alike except that instead of T one substitutes with U in mRNA.
2. DNA template strand is complimentary and antiparallel to mRNA.

So if u get 3'ATG5'..it is the template strand..so the mRNA will be 5'UAC3'

Remember as a rule..if coding strand is given, u should always read it as 5' to 3'.

Then Transcription from tRNA:
The t RNA carries the anticodon which is read 3' to 5'
The mRNA carries the codon which is read 5' to 3'

Eg: Anticodon on tRNA: 3' UAG 5'
Codon on mRNA : 5' AUC 3'

Hope ur doubts have been cleared.

yes, sagittal means lateral view

to calculate pH, it is equal to -log[H+]
usually the number they give you is easy. for example, if [H] is 10^-4, then pH is 4. also remember that pH + pOH = 14. therefore, if pH is 4, then pOH is 10. if they give you the [OH] instead, then just reverse the calculation.
