Sorry.. another USC Supp App Question

I'm going to call them tommorow I guess, but in the meantime.. I was wondering what you guys did for the coursework listing. Did you just list all your prereqs only? What if there's a class like biochemistry, you can pick which one to choose, do you just pick the one you got the best grade in?

Also, how do you list your AP courses here if they are fulfilling a prereq.

Also... how the heck are you suppose to pay the application fee? Cashier's check and money order.. I am totally clueless.. I have never done either in my life. 😕 .. I just assumed there would be a credit card option.. this is really irritating me..

hi i can actually answer all your questions! haha.. cuz i had lots of trouble myself.. anyways, so cashier's check or money order- go to the bank you use and ask for it. basically you pay them the money and they will write u a cashier's check.

and for all your prereq's you can actually go to USC's pharmacy website.. and look up prereq's and you will see a link where you can access course equivalents from your specific college. there you will see a list of the classes from you school that fulfill each prereq and put those. and for AP courses, write AP Calculus or AP Chem whatever the class is that you took under dept. and write in the number of units you received for it from your college transcript. and for grade you put AP4 or AP5 depending on what score you got.

Sorry, but which school do you list your AP credit under? And what term type or Term to be completed..

you can just list your main college that the units transferred over to, and the term would be the first term you entered into college. so, probably Fall 2002/2003

USC said they will know what you're talkin about since they will check your transcripts anyways, and for AP scores u actually need to mail them a copy of your scores.

You list all the required courses that they list at the bottom of the page. If they require 3 quarters of physics, list all of them. List all of them even though you haven't taken yet, then put IP (in progress) so they can know you will finish all the required courseworks. I just summited mine few minutes ago. I called them but no ones there, i left a message

Don't send them in cash, you can send them by personal check, cashier check because if you sent cash, they can't have any records that you sent the fee to them. Mostly, schools recommend checks.

Remember to send with the payment form. I still don't know if they need official transcript becase while listing the courseworks, they ask to send one official transcripit.

Anyway, i'm worry too but nothing I can do besides wait .........

I wish they would have stated it outright they wanted to mail the transcript.. then I would have done it a while ago... instead of waiting to write the essay.. then being sidelined by the "Must send official transcript" note, so my app probably won't be completed until late october.. great.. 🙁

You can't send a personal check, despite what someone posted. Money order or cashier's check. Go to a bank, sometimes they charge you a $1 fee for it though.

And just list the classes that fulfill their prereqs. Look under their course equivalency page, like someone said, and find your school. If your class isn't listed, email them (not sure who, maybe you can email and ask who you can speak to) with your syllabus and course description and they might say it's okay. They were pretty cool about it with me for a class.

I believe all schools in CA are very strict about their prereqs! You should call them and ask to make sure, and if they say yes its required for sure (like I think it is), start making plans to take physio lab this upcoming school year.

Yes, you NEED to take a physio lab. I went to USC undergrad and took a physiology class that didn't come with a lab. I asked if I could count that towards the physio prereq, and I was told that my class counts towards the lecture part, but that I still need to take a lab. So, now I'm at a state school taking physiology over again because I need to take the lab (and I can't take the lab w/o taking the lecture!).

USC is really nice about approving other courses as fulfilling a prereq, so if I have to take a lab, I'm pretty sure everyone has to. If I were you, I would plan to register for it next spring.

I called them a while back and the rep told me as long as it's sealed then you can send mail it in yourself.

Does anyone know if I have AP credit but I don't want to use them for prereq, do I still have to send them a copy of my scores....??

I think you only have to send in an ap report if you are using the scores to fulfill one/two of the requirements. Do you guys just call and give AP the usc ap code? where can I find out the ap code? or should I mail AP the address?

USC and AP scores... so needlessly complicated!

I wanted to have my AP scores sent to USC, for most schools you just call AP Testing and have your scores sent to the school. I did this for UOP, you don't need the college code, they have it there and they only have one adress for the schools where the AP scores get sent to.

The problem with USC is they send the AP scores to the USC main campus, not the pharmacy campus and there is no way for the AP testing people to send it to USC pharmacy campus because they are only allowed to send it to one location per school. I called USC to ask if this was ok that it wasn't being sent to the pharmacy school and they said it wasn't. She said some people have had it sent to the main campus and then have the main campus forward it to the pharmacy school, but she said it often gets lost along the way.

So what I did instead was have the AP scores sent to me and I just sent them a copy of my scores. I called and e-mailed to verify if this was ok and they said it was.

Thanks for the clear and detailed response! I will also have ap send me a report and then mail it to usc. Now I am worried about the UC's, I think AP might have sent it to the wrong address, I should have checked with the schools before calling AP.
