for those who have attended south interview, could u tell me approximately how long did the whole process last, and how was traffic in savannah. What did u think about applying to tthe school.......i am interested in this school and any info will be appreciated. and by he way, why did u apply to this school.

I have been to Savannah and driven around the same street (Mall Boulevard) where the school is located. Never traffic in Savannah except around US 19 where Wal-mart is. It is very tiny, South is just a few buildings around moss-draped trees. And the students are very relaxed. I dropped in for curiosity.

It is very laid back.

You must have caught us on a day where we actually didn't have a test.

I went to South for an interveiw last week. It took about 3 hours total. When you first get there, the dean does an opening talk. Then you have two interveiws with faculty members, and a student takes you on a tour of the building. There is a little bit of waiting around, but that's the time that you work on your essay. I really liked the school, the professors I interviewed with were really layed back and everyone I talked to made it seem like it's a very student-oriented school. That's always a good thing! I've heard that they get back to you really quickly about whether you got in or not, but they said they wouldn't let us know until next week since this is a short week. I'm so nervous!

Traffic in Savannah wasn't bad. That area is actually a lot nicer than the downtown area, things are spaced out better, so it's easier to get places.

I applied b/c I like the fact that you get done in three years and it's on the quarter system. You have to have your own reasons though.

I have an interview at South on Jan. 19th. If they get back to you quickly with an acceptance, does anyone know how much time they give to confirm acceptance?

It's probably going to take 2-4 weeks to hear back from them either way. They give you 10 days from the date of the acceptance letter to reply. If you accept, you must include your non-refundable $500 deposit. Good luck!!! 🙂

If some of the people that have already interviewed at South can give me some insight of the type of questions that they asked...that would be great! I have an interview on Feb. 16...I'm sooo nervous!! If anyone could help out...that would be great!!!🙂

You'll be interviewed by two faculty members, but one at a time. Some of the questions I was asked were:
Why do you want to go to South?
Paint a picture of a good pharmacist for me.
What would you do if you saw a classmate cheating on a quiz?
What type of research have you done? (because I worked in clinical research for a year) So they may ask you about extracurriculars or work experience.

Also, have questions ready for them. I asked each of my interviewers a question---they like to see that you have a genuine interest.

Good Luck!!! :luck: :luck:

Thanks alot guys!! That will really help a lot🙂
