Does anyone have any insights or views regarding ophtho programs in the south, namely Emory, Vanderbilt, and the University of Alabama?

Emory is a nice, hardworking program. It is one of the most competitive programs in the country. Vanderbilt is a decent and solid program. Alabama, I don't know much about. Of course in the south, Bascom, Duke, and Emory are your best bets. But you better have eaten your Wheaties to be in the running for those programs.
