Are there any? Please also exclude top-ranked schools like vanderbilt or duke, because i wouldn't meet their stats. Also i know that UMiami doesn't requires high gpa, so that's also out.
Is Tulane the only southern school for me? I feel tulane is too far away from florida,ga,sc,nc🙁

I know all the Carolina schools (both in SC and UNC) are extremely hard to get into OOS. As far as I know, Tulane or WF might be the best bet

Well I'm not sure how Southern you're looking for, but the Virginia schools are relatively open to accepting out of staters. You might try VCU and EVMS.

which is considered more southern: virginia or new orleans? by southern i mean florida gators and the coast stretching from georgia till north carolina. i once visited virginia and thought it kinda sucked. i like florida.
also if you were interested in VCU, EVMS, Tulane and were completely neutral as to the location, what would be the academic pluses/minuses of these schools with respect to each other and as compared to NY State schools and other schools of similar calibre?
thanks.

What are your numbers? Are you applying next cycle?

Anyway, don't choose a med school because of a random sampling of women you find on facebook. There's women in any big city. Don't sell yourself short of a good medical school that matches you well. Don't let your obsession with women take over your life, as having no life of your own will not get you any women.

Emory? their 2006 avg is 3.66 and 33 MCAT

As someone mentioned above, Wake Forest is a possibility. Last year about 60% of matriculants were out of state. Means: GPA 3.63, MCAT 30P.

Wake does have a NC bias, but its not that bad. It doesn't hurt you to be out of state, as most of their applicants are, but it does help the few hundred NC applicants. UNC really wants you to at least have a serious connection to the area if you're out of state.

msar says their mcat is 35, and more importantly their gpa is 3.78. so it's the same as columbia, except that columbia is in-state for me. and i doubt i would even apply to columbia because my gpa is much lower.

my numbers are terrible. yes, i plan to apply next year. i planned to take mcat this summer, but i didn't, so now i plan to take it this january.

yeah, this post was silly, i dont have any girlfriend right now, as such location of school is not important for me. i was just "trolling" yesterday, though i was curious to learn some stereotypes about the south or whatever. i just had a nice swim and starting tomorrow morning i'll resume studying for mcat.

i heard wake forest just like umiami really hates out-of-staters who have low gpa, even if mcat is well above their average.
