Does anyone know of a good medical Spanish book that covers common ophthalmology terms and phrases?

Any advice for non-Spanish speakers about how to master some useful Spanish skills for dealing with ophthalmology patients?

Dear yagmd,

Some options:

1. I spent two weeks in an immersion program at a Mexcian hospital where I could do HPI's. It would be useful to have some rudimentary Spanish.

2. Contact a ophthalmic or contact lens laboratory in Mexico. I was able to pick up some basic anatomy charts in Spanish.

3. Do a search on Amazon. I found almost 122 books for Medical Spanish that contained some reference to the eye.

4. Go to lunch once a week with a Spanish speaking person. The most grammatically correct Hispanics are the Colombians.

HTH,
