I was looking into dental specialties this past week and one concern I had was I could not find any descriptions on how each specialist is restricted. Does anyone know where I could find this information?
For instance, I assumed pediatric dentist may have some form of age restriction, then reading how pediatric dentist treat many patients with handicaps of psychological disorders I assumed these restrictions are complicated with legal jargon. Or if an orthodontist was to volunteer their time in a community health clinic would they not be allowed to perform restorative work that is outside their practice scope, though part of their DDS/DMD training?
