Anybody know where to get good info on different medical specialties????? I mean from a student standpoint......like describes the type of work, salary, need, and etc.

Also, you may try Iserson's Getting Into a Residency; I believe there are two editions.

Look at FRIEDA from AMA.

It gives detailed information about the training for different specialties. The Graduate Career Plans section can tell you whether most people entering a specialty go into solo or group practice among other things.
