Are there any other specialties despite Sports Medicine and Forensic Pathology in which physicians sometimes get out of a hospital and get to work in a field?

Neurology...big teams (especially football) have them on staff for concussions, seizures, syncope, traumatic bleeds and dissection, as well as management of post concussive syndrome (headaches, vertigo, cognitive "slowing", etc) it's a growing field and we are seeing more EMG consults from the two colleges where I work. I imagine being pain medicine boarded from neurology could also be of benefit to some athletes.

Wilderness Medicine.

For instance, here is the link to the Wilderness Medicine Fellowship offered at University of California San Francisco (Fresno campus): http://www.fresno.ucsf.edu/em/wilderness/

Wilderness Medicine fellowships are also offered at Yale, Stanford, UC San Diego, University of Utah, University of Colorado, Massachusetts General Hospital, and many others Schools of Medicine and medical centers.
