Sports Medicine FP and Ortho Surgeon

How willing would you be to work with an Orthopod if you did a Sports Medicine Fellowship. Just curious. I think it could end up being a very good arrangement especially in a smaller community place 10,000-30,000. Has anybody seen someone working in a situation like that first hand?

We have two sports medicine guys in our group who work in an office with three orthopods. It's an ideal arrangement, IMO, as your success as an FP doing sports medicine is dependent on your referral base. It also lets the ortho guys focus more on the surgical cases, which is where the money is.
